Dr. Sean R. Bates would like to personally welcome you to Dream Team Dentistry, his general dentistry practice in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Bates is a native of Columbus, Ohio where he attended St. Charles Preparatory High School. Upon graduating, he attended Wittenberg University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Chemistry. After his college training, Dr. Bates attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee where he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Upon graduating from Meharry, Dr. Bates proudly joined the United States Air Force as a Captain and served in a one-year residency in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Keesler Air Force Base, in Biloxi, Mississippi. It was during this residency that Dr. Bates became certified in all aspects of dentistry including intravenous and conscious sedation and forensic dentistry. After his one year residency, Dr. Bates was moved to Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama where he practiced general dentistry and was essential to providing health care to all branches of service. Dr. Bates was instrumental in establishing the dental care of all troops that were deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan. After honorably serving his country, Dr. Bates decided it was time to return home to serve his community in the Franklin County Area.

Dr. Bates’ diverse background and extensive training have allowed him to compassionately care for all of his patients. He has made it his personal goal to be a premier provider in delivering dental services that range from tooth extraction to simple tooth movement. His sincere commitment to the profession of dentistry, his high affinity of helping others, and his concern for the overall health care of the surrounding community is why he makes a positive contribution to any patient who graces us with his/her presence.
